A Compromise? + Essie Summer 2009
I’m sure everyone is getting really sick of me going on and off hiatus, then apologizing, then disappearing again. Believe me, I know it’s annoying and I feel awful about it. Unfortunately, I’ve had very little free time since I started my new job and things don’t look like they are going to get better any time soon. So, I would like to propose a compromise? I’m still taking photographs of my nails when I do them… even though I haven’t been able to do them as often as I did before. Also, I still have a massive back log of photos that I’ve taken over the past few months. Until my schedule clears up – I’m going to post the photos without or with very little commentary. I know some of you may be thinking, “what’s the point?” Well, I think most people visit the site to see the photos anyway. I’ll try to be diligent about answering questions from the comments section that way I’m not just throwing the pictures out there in a vacuum. It’s temporary, I shouldn’t be insanely busy forever… right? (Oh man, I hope not.)
I really loved the light pinks from this collection, delicate and work appropriate. My favorite from this collection is Cubby Cheeks – it reminds me lobsters. : )

I’m loving a couple of those pinks! When you have time make ur post hun =). I enjoy seeing all ur pic’s and it doesn’t bother me when u post them, as long as u have the time =).

I think we all get busy sometimes – or all of the time LOL. Especially around the holidays & I can’t even imagine how busy you are with your new job.
I kind of stopped apologizing when I do short posts, if I have time to go into detail on application or ramble about how the mani made me feel I will but if I don’t I know my readers still like seeing what’s on my nails & I’m sure yours do too – we’ll take whatever you want to give us =)

I’m just glad you’re posting again! You’re my favorite nail blogger and you have the best nails so I think that many of us will be happy with the compromise as long as you promise not to go away forever! I check here periodically and I was thrilled to see a new post.

Glad to see you back! Don’t worry about posting; you’re a brand new licensed attorney, and you will remain busy. I say this as a slightly older licensed attorney with trial on Monday that I am sick to death of dealing with. It doesn’t go away, you just better learn how to deal with it. As far as the collection, Chubby Cheeks is my ectoplasmic favorite. It was my 30th birthday polish!

Yay! Pix? We’ll take ‘em! Of course we’ll miss you with your witty banter and incisive commentary, but we understand that your life has changed just a tiny bit, (barely worth mentioning…) ;) , so don’t sweat it! Relax and do what you have to do! Especially now that it’s “Holiday Time”- you gotta relax or you’ll lose your marbles!
But, that said, here is the magic of your posts- I have just not been feeling the pinks lately; but after your pix, I seriously want at least 3 of them! (Funny Face, Chubby Cheeks (although it reads as more of a coral on my monitor…), and Not Just A Pretty Face- which is really weird, because I don’t usually go for the more subdued neutral-y colors!)
Anyway, relax, have a great season, and be happy!

You make any color look gorgeous. I thought these were just boring pinks, but you make them look beautiful! How do you get your nails to have that gorgeous wet-looking glare? Also, I don’t care if you come and go and don’t really put a lot of words, I LOVE your blog, and it was one of the first I read before I started my own!

I’m looking for something specific and I was wondering if you’ve ever come across the polish I’m looking for. I want a glitter polish that will glam-up pure white polish without dimming the bright white and without adding any other colors (no silver, no rainbow). I guess what I’m looking for is a colorless glitter or a bright white glitter. Any suggestions?

Love Chubby Cheeks! :) Is the job super hard? I’m in law school right now and taking the bar test in a couple years. Scared to death. Anyway, could you do a comparison between OPI Eiffel for this Color, OPI We’ll Always Have Paris, and OPI Lincoln Park After Dark? If they’re similar in anyway….
