Water-y Blue Goodness: BB Couture for Nails – Electric Avenue
I’m in the middle of the worst week ever as far as due dates go but I wanted to take a minute to update so as to not neglect you guys too much. I promise at the end of this week I’ll reply to all emails and comments, bear with me.
BB Couture for Nails Electric Avenue is a ghostly watery blue from the 80′s Collection (in case the name didn’t give it away.) I’m not a fan of the 80s but I do love this polish. It’s so light that I almost want to put it in the off-white category but it’s definitely visibly blue. I know a few of you are probably hoping, so I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Electric Avenue is a lot lighter than Rescue Beauty Lounge Bikini Bottom.
The application was a pain. It was tough to build bottle color. I used 4 coats, which usually wouldn’t bother me but during application it seemed like 4 coats wasn’t going to be enough. If I had had more time, I probably would have done more coats because 4 just didn’t look good. I was really frustrated because I thought the outcome was going to look crappy and I just didn’t have time to do another manicure. But then the strangest thing happened, I honestly have never encountered something like this before. As the polish dried, the color evened itself out. The dried end product is stunning and looks nothing like it’s wet mid-application counterpart. I actually liked it enough that I wore it for 4 days over my mini-vacation last week. It’s practically unheard of for me to wear a polish for more than 2 days. If you decide to get this color, my advice is to not let yourself get discouraged by the difficult and seemingly unattractive application, it strangely works itself out once it dries and the pay off is huge.
You can purchase BB Couture for Nails on Overall Beauty as well as the BB Couture for Nails main page.

Very pretty color. I recently bought some BB colors. I bought only bright ones. I will have to try others. I had on Poison Ivy since Saturday and just got two little chips in each thumb nail. They do wear well.

When a read “Electric” I thought maybe it would be a neon. At any rate, it looks lovely on you. I actually am wearing RBL’s Bikini Bottom right now. I love it. It’s one of two RBL’s I purchased recently. The other is Dead Calm, which I love love love.

So I use Black nail polish mainly, and I was wondering does it really leave a noticeable stain on your nails after you have been wearing it for a long time and then take it off ? Also my nails have been painted for four months straight now and i was wondering if you should give them a break of a week or two ? or if it doesnt matter ? Thanks.

I really love this one. At first, I was like way too sheer and pale. But your pic grew on me so much I had to buy it!
