Spring of Yesteryear: Zoya Blissful Collection

Soon we’re all going to be bombarded with the spring collections so I figured I would kick off Spring ’09 with a collection from Spring ’08. Zoya Blissful is a pretty, light and demure collection. All the colors in this collection are subtle and work appropriate. It’s definitely not exciting, but I like it.

Zoya Felicity is rose with subtle pink and gold sparkly shimmer. It’s work appropriate with a kick. This swatch is 3 coats.

Zoya Laurie is jelly-like sheer pale baby pink cream. It’s opaque at 4 coats but can be worn at varying levels of sheerness with less coats.  Laurie is more cute than it is professional, I probably wouldn’t wear this one in really conservative officers.

Zoya Lulu, a jelly-like sheer light peach, is one my favorites from this collection. It reminds me of Rescue Beauty Lounge Starfish Patrick but it’s not a dupe. Lulu is not as bright, however, I think this would be a good substitute for anyone who hasn’t taken the RBL plunge yet. Lulu takes 4 coats for opacity but can be worn with fewer like Laurie.

Zoya Miley, a jelly-like sheer pale lilac cream, has been one of my favorite Zoyas for a really long time. I’ve been on a mission to spread my love for it since I first tried it on. It was one of my choices for the Zoya Mini-Collection promotion last year and I also ROAK’d  it to Dami of Perfectly Polish Tips. She raved about it as well. Like Lulu and Laurie this is a 4 coater if you want bottle color but it can be worn with fewer coats.

Zoya Penelope, a dusty mauve cream, is a Mom color. It’s chic and professional.  This swatch was 3 coats.

Zoya Zanna is a muted dusty rose cream. As many of you know, I have a thing for dusty versions of traditional colors so I’m really digging Zanna. This swatch was 3 coats.

Disclosure: This collection was sent to me for review by Zoya.

I think Lulu is my favorite too. But I don’t know if it would suit my skintone. And Zanna looks quite similar to China Glazes Second-hand silk.

  2. katee Says:

Lulu is my fav of the bunch!

Stephanie: Felicity looks stunning on you. :)

I’ve had Miley for months untried, what’s wrong with me?

  8. Brooke Says:

These all look great on you! I really like Laurie and Miley, but don’t think they would suit me, at least not my hands, my toes maybe :)

also- I don’t know if it is just me, but for some reason all of your main page won’t load for me. All of the columns on the right side of the page dont load, unless I click on the comments, them they will appear. And I can only see about te last 10 posts. I even tried went to scrangie’s site and clicked on the link that she has for you to see if it would load diffrently, and I got the same thing. Any ideas? Is it just me?

  9. Molly Says:

Felicity looks amazing! Where can I buy Zoya polishes? Btw I would like to request OPI’s Cozu-Melted In The Sun.

  10. Jinnzor Says:

I like Felicity. The shimmer looks really pretty.

  11. Amber Says:

Hey Stephanie! I have a request…do you think that you could compare “I’m not Really a Waitress” with “An Affair in Red Square”? I don’t know if “red Square” is a good color or not…and I’m on a red kick. :) thank you so much!
    how was your new years?

  12. Kyosuke Says:

Lovely <3 My favorites would be Miley & Laurie.
Take care my dear ^^ And happy new year, I wish you lots of happiness and free good polishes ! <3

  13. pretear Says:

Emelie – Zanna doesn’t look like SHS in person, SHS is different tone of pink and chalkier. I do love Lulu.

Andie – Yeaaaay! This is a great sampler pack.

Steph – lol. I figured some people would feel that way.

    Susi – lol I do too. : )

Ninarz – : ) Dooo eeet. To bad G-ville is hella-empty when it comes to nail polish.

Elma – Thank you! Go try it nooooow!

Brooke – I’m sorry my site has had a lot weird kinks in it. I’m blaming WordPress. : (

Molly – You buy Zoya polishes on zoya.com. : ) I saw your request before but unfortunately I don’t have C-MiS, I know Scrangie has it.

Jinnzor – I’m surprised by how many people like that one. Lol.

Amber – LOL. I would, I totally would but I don’t own either. You know how I feel about sparkly reds. ; P

    Kyosuke – : ) Thank you.

  14. Stef Says:

Ooh such pretty colours, I love the look of Miley but I’m not sure if I could pull off a Lilac mani. They all look amazing on you!

  15. Kay Says:

    Beautiful pics as always :)
I have Zanna and it’s my favourite dusty pink – love it! I have to try Felicity next :)

  16. renee Says:

I wast thinking of buying either a zoya lulu or giselle? Which one would you recommend or like better? Also, does zoya lulu really look like this?

because the color looks great in your blog :D
or does this happen randomly that the color of a nail polish isnt exactly the same from another one?

  17. pretear Says:

Stef – Lilac is a really tough color, I think it looks stupid on me too but I wear it anyway lol.

    Kay – Doooo et. : )

Renee – I think the difference in the way it looks is due to skin tone and coats used. I used 4 coats, it looks like she only used 2 and my skin is darker than hers which I have found makes jellies look deeper.

  18. CrazyNails Says:

Lulu looks great! But I’m not shure if it would fit me…only way to now is to buy it :D

  19. Steph Says:

LOL – let me know what you think when you do.

  20. Amber Says:

Stephanie, do you have Zoya’s Dominique? that’s my sister name, I was thinking it would be a cute gift

  21. Amber Says:

Ugh; I have been hunting for Zoya all over. I can’t bring myself to pay 6.95 – 9.99 for shipping and handling! Rediculous! (esp. I’m only trying to buy 2 – 3 colors). I found that there’s a little shop in town that JUST started carrying Zoya. :) They don’t have the colors I want, so I’m trying to see if they can order them for me.
My favorites are Miley, Lulu and Laurie.
I’m obsessed now Stephanie..obsessed. Ppl at my college are coming up to me just to see what my NOD is!! LOL

  22. Steph Says:

Amber – I can swatch it for you. : ) And I’m glad you’ve joined the dark side. Muahahaha.
