Late to the Party: Zoya Flourish Collection
I know most the other nail bloggers have already covered this collection but I’m going to gratuitously cover it as well. I’m pretty surprised by how much I like this collection since usually I’m not into shimmers. It’s not that there is something inherently wrong with shimmers, it’s just that they tend to be really… common. That’s not the case with Flourish which features six are fairly unique colors.
Zoya Zara is an ethereal violet with very complex shimmer that flashes green, gold, and bronze. It looks incredible over whitish colors. I found this out accidentally. Zara has a jelly type quality to it and I was wearing Lippmann Icing on the Cake when I swatching this color so decided to try to layer it. The results were pretty impressive. It applies very well but it needs 3 coats to eliminate VPL. This color is a definite stand out.
Zoya Cyma is a red with magenta shimmer. This is 3 coats.
Zoya Kalista is a dark reddish brown with dark copper shimmer. This is a great wearable dark brown. It applies very well, this is just two coats.
Zoya Mieko is a cerise with sparse fleck gold shimmer. This swatch is 2 coats.
Zoya Richelle is sparkly light copper with a foil finish. This swatch is 3 coats. I am completely in love with this color – it is ridiculously, disgustingly gorgeous. I’m not sure if you guys have noticed a pattern lately with me just loving the ever living daylights out of these recently released gold polishes. I guess I’m moving from my purple period into a gold period à la Picasso.
Zoya Shivon is a mulberry with greenish gold iridescent shimmer. Shivon is my second favorite from this collection. This is a 3 coater.

I can see why you are gravitating toward metallics lately since they’ve all been so pretty. I especially love Richelle as it’s copper color is just enough to give it the hue but not bombard you with an orangey metallic color which could look cheap and tacky. Shivon is also awesome. I would sooo wear the crap out of that color.

OMG Steph, Zara is the coolest purple I think I’ve ever seen! That color would seriously stop me in my tracks, and coming from a guy who already notices and appreciates a woman’s nails when she takes care of them, that is saying a lot!
Being a guy who is really into nail polish, I know what I like to see on women, and then there are the colors that I like myself (toes only). Richelle is one that I think I could really have some fun wearing. It’s not so coppery that it screams “look at me!”, just a tasteful golden hue that appeals. You have great taste for choosing this as one of your favorites Steph!
And I think Shivon is really beautiful gal color. Once again, not a screamer, and with the multi-colored hues it’s so intriguing and eye-catching.
I just have to say that I really enjoy your blog Stephanie. It is so well done, your pictures are consistently ‘pro’ quality, your reviews are objective and honest, and your nails…well let’s just say that from my male perspective, they are always incredibly wonderful! You are an inspriation to all of us (including men)!

Richelle and Shivon are gorgeous but three coats?! Ay yay yay!

Kyosuke – Me too! ^^
Deborah – I don’t think I own Tess – I’ll have to poke around.
Ninarz – I think it would look great on you, this one would flatter most skin tones.
Kia – Let me know what you think when you finally do.
Enii – Thank you! Yes, these are my real nails. : )
Jason – Thank you so much! : ) And I agree about Zara and Richelle, both are very very very unique.
Molly – I’m a habitual 3 coater for almost every color because I like to apply very very thin coats, but I suppose it’s possible to do these colors in 2 coats. Do you use a fast drying top coat like Seche or Poshe, if you do, 3 coats isn’t must different from 2 coats.
