Andie – I think it really just depends. The office I work for now, I think I could wear neon green and no one would care but before I used to have to keep it really professional. Maybe we just need to start a coalition of the willing! : )

I love this colour on you, even with the brush strokes. Glad to hear you can wear pretty colours to your new job, I love that about my office too-bright blue doesn’t look out of place! In fact our receptionist was rocking a neon orange the other day, it looked fab.

Pretear, your nails look absolutely stunning. I had to do a double when you mentioned the ‘imperfections’ – what imperfections?! :)

Congrats on the new job (or is this pre-mature positive thinking on my part…?). And yay on the nails being accepted too! That would be torture not to be able to wear them as you like.

I’ll echo what Vampyvarnish says about ‘alternative styles’, especially since men have just begun to enter into this area. Yay for diversity!!

The polish looks stunning on you! I wish I could wear silvery colours like this, but it does nothing for my skin tone.

I am a professor and thankfully my colleagues think my polish obsession is cute! My students all love my ever changing nails and when I say I should probably become more conservative as I get older (I am turning 40 this year), they all tell me to never change! I enjoy all the like-minded people on the polish boards!

Thank god we live in a time where it’s finally ok for women to wear nail polish that isn’t necessarily “natural” looking to work. I am very thankful to work for a very liberal company where we can wear shorts, running shoes, multi-colored hair, piercings, tattoos and black nail polish and still be thought of as smart people and great employees. And this is a large top 100 Fortune Magazine best company to work for! Yahoo!

That’s so sweet that you can have long nails and wear awesome polish to work. I knew i should have gone to law school! I guess corporate compliance hasn’t taken the plunge yet…especially with Wall street slowly disappearing, it will be more conservative than ever.

I can see why you’re disappointed with Birthday Babe, and I’m not big on frost, but the color is so gorgeous that it totally distracts from any imperfections.
